I read the book 'Aliens and Alienists', when I was 17 or so , doing A level Psychology ... the book is about Eurocentric mental health services and definitions of reality, which ignore the actual experiences and trauma of living while seen as an 'alien', ie 'foreign', in teh majority culture and I promised myself I would never ever place my safety in the bloodied hands of this system.
