All of this has made me think that if the entire control actually lies within our hands and we have undermined ourselves to bring about that change. Eudoria Holmes, Margaret Mead, Rani Laxmi Bai, Madam Curie, Rakhambai and many other women have proved in the past that we can have an egalitarian society. The issue in hand is how do we bring this change at an all society level?

I nearly fell off my chair, reading the name, Rani Laxmi Bai with her title (ie Rani means Queen in India) . I bet most readers outside of South Asian Indian culture will not have heard of her... hell, I am of south Asian cultural heritage and I only heard of her recently! It would be good to say a few sentences about each.
