I like how you detail these specifics which are not the fault of the child, but reflect the parent's conscientiousness, ie the character of one's parents, their income, which reflects the ups and downs of the political parties, the unions, and the capitalist systems economic fluctuations... this is an example of how the personal is political, but we are not socialised to 'see' these factors, but are lead to believe we bear full responsibility for our failures, as if they are our personal character flaws.

Of course if we blame ourselves, we do not look up and see who has created the system we live under and who benefits from it.
