I know... I was shocked that they moved house so suddenly and pondered on what I had not understood about the situation... yes ideally, I should have acted sooner, but I was just a student teacher, not a social worker. I didn't realise the situation was urgent.

At least she experienced a weekend away in a beautiful rural location, which she really enjoyed. Maybe that experience at least inspired her to continue reaching out to new people wherever her husband moved the family.
