I knew a Ukrainian retired gent who was a soldier in World War 2. I had the allotment next to his and he 'd make us tea, I'd get the biscuits out, and he would talk to me most times I saw him, about his horrific experiences during the war - starvation, marching while asleep from exhaustion.... but sadly he could not bring himself to actually ever talk to his own son about his war experiences ... it was too emotional and he felt too vulnerable... So the ugly realities of war are thus hidden and the elites and those they pay continue to make films and music that glorifies war and makes young men feel they can prove their mettle and be real men - but sadly they are sacrificed on the altar of the elites' greed.
