I first came across her book'Beyond God the Father'... where she still wrote within the academic style paradigm. Her next book was sheer genius.. her play with language a revelation. That was Gyn/Ecology. My suggestion would be to read that as she begins her remarkable trajectory of thought and linguistic unwinding of patriarchal concepts there.
Pure Lust is an incredible poem /prose and her 'Wickiedary' the most wonderful dictionary! She questions our most basic assumptions revealing how deep misogynistic customs and limitations are embedded in language.
When I first saw your name, I thought of her! She transformed the word 'spinster' from it s negative connotations, into a mesmerising adventurer.
