I don't think it is as simple as you are making out. You speak as if with the vision of a gnat, ignoring the one hundred herd of elephants behind and the rampaging they have done over a lengthy period of time - 3 generations at least, form the 1940's on.
Whilst those like myself who have not witnessed family members being shot, attacked, humiliated, their homes and lands taken, can feel aghast at anyone
'clebrating'. I have enough empathy to understand that resisting one's oppression, breaching the wall that signifies your imprisonment in a concentration camp, succeeding against massive odds against those who have an entire state structure and billions of dollars in aid, yes, that would be something to damn well celebrate. It was called the Resistance by the brave Jewish fighters in the Polish ghetto.
