I dare to ask again, can a whole culture, become narcissistic?

Inwardly obsessed, dictating the pattern of every newborn’s breath?

Those lines are form a poem I wrote in early January... where I was exploring the Jewish notion of being th 'Chosen People' as a potentially narcissist-inducing trait in the entire culture.

Of course, there are jewish people who regard that concept as meaning they must be the most humble, G-d fearing and deep-rooted in virtue.
