I chose very consciously not to have children and in my twenties and thirties, was the joyful Auntie to my sisters and brother's children.

However divorce turned my sisters into malicious, envious and controlling women who could not stand to see their children expressing respect and affection for their Auntie.

Not bowing to the patriarch who lied and cheated in various ways, meant the male sibling also distanced himself from me...

Sadly not only my siblings, but most people are quite tribal.
