I am not clear about the point you are making... it's true that most Indigenous cultures including South Asian by the way, children are held close, often breast-fed, till two or older, and sleep close beside mother or other adults... there is a theory that this means that could be th erase there are mental health issues and the sense of alienation and anxiety that has become the hallmark of modernity, does not affliction such societies with these traditional patterns of child-rearing. This rather supports my point in the article.
