I also think it’s vital to acknowledge there have been deliberate attempts to suppress truths and facts for the purpose of manipulation. Otherwise we don’t understand the patterns of events that are oucurring in the present.

So for instance, I grew up in the UK and never heard of Churchill’s collossal viciousness in causing the famine in India by taking food out of the country.

Never heard about the leaders who were tortured and killed in South Asia, Africa and Latin America… and that in fact such assassinations din’t just happen in th e19th century say, but also there were many in the 1960’s eg Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara in the mid 1980’s and this slaughter of the best of those opposing imperialism, is continuing to the present day eg Qasim Soleimani, or the journalist Jamal Khashoggi. All the honourable ones, with integrity nd courage, who can’t be bought, are murdered while psychopathic puppets such as the leadrs of the Saudi clan, are feted and rewarded.
