With thousands dying in the snowy fields of Ukraine and the suffocating, barren deserts of Gaza, as blood is spilled in urban battlefields and in open plains, it is not just these lands that are painted red by scarlet dye spewed by innocent men, women, and children. From the soldier who pulls the trigger to the politician who orders it to the media spokesperson who defends it to the diplomat who casts his vote to stop peace from prevailing: every single person involved in this morbid charade is guilty of the murders of countless people. The perpetual cycle of violence exists in its filthy, ugly form today only because of the continued banality of evil.
