This hasn’t stopped CHOSSA from trying, though. From Garvey’s Back-to-Africa movement, to the Republic of New Afrika, to even the MOVE organization, the U.S. government has sought to oppose and dismantle their efforts. They’ve even gone to the point of removing MOVE off the face of the map by killing the small group’s leader, John Africa, as well as five other adult members, and five children under the age of 13. As many as 60 homes owned by people not affiliated with the group were also destroyed when Philadelphia police dropped a military styled bomb on the house where members resided.
