Hmm it's okay for us to have differing perspectives -Noora. I believe we can have a medley of voices and not necessarily agreeing on everything .

This is bound to be the case as we have grown up in very different systems, including family structures... while the pic and poem at one level address the Arabic /Gulf regions as a whole, I am also speaking to the divisions in my family of origin, which were definitely related to uncles' greed, desire for status, and abandoning traditional values of respecting the older brother/provider (who was my father).

So again, it is a blend of the personal and the wider issues... I am addressing... I

can perfectly respect your thought and approach, while also wanting to be true to my own perceptions arising out of my experiences.

At this point in time , when sections of the Global ~South as a whole (including the Arabic/Gulf regions have definitely got the resources to stop Israel and yet they do not - to me that is a matter they should feel accountability for...

It's funny that South Africa, with neither language, religion or a shared history stepped up to assert international law while not one Muslim majority country (I include Pakistan, where my mother is born) has done so.
