I recall beign sou pst with my mother and father for not doign anything ot protect my cousin's young wife, whom he was mistreating. She came over alone after he picked her to be his wife. But he continued to see a white woman, Julie and they would get her to cook and clean for them. So when my parents did nothing about this injustice I strongly turned my back on Muslim family and culture... and embraced the white liberal /socialst feminist way... only to find that it's cruelties are just more subtle.
