Hello friends, I would like to clarify that at this point I have had zero explanation on why my account has been suspended . Just a message I have 'contravened rules of Medium'. So some five days on, I still have no idea what exactly the issue is.

I agree with Ramsey's suggestion that there needs to be a structured degree of dialogue with Medium staff, so person is aware in what way their articles or response to comments is a cause for concern/complaint, instead of being immediately shut down, without any notification whatsoever.

And yes, this sudden cutoff to some extent also negatively impacts people whose writing has been published via that publications. This is also not fair.

Some space should be given to the publication owner to be able to communicate with writers and those in the middle of the editorial process of sharing their work.

This has certainly taught me the importance of having writers' emails!
