Following your line of thought, it would be equally true that if you grew up in a protective bubble like the Prince who was protected by his father, the king, to not see sick people, poor people, or old people, he also had a distorted view of the world....

People who are traumatised - especially women who are shamed and the culture tells them if their marriage fails, they are to blame... are unlikely to raise their voices and shout about their pain and suffering from the rooftops - they are also unlikely to take part in sociological surveys .

You see to be in some sort of a bubble, because honestly, there are tons of cases of so-called 'honour' killings .

Being obtuse must help you maintain a fairy-tale perception about the complexity and contradictions of human behaviour, Muslim society or not.
