Des, you always have gems of knowledge to share, but your tone is quite off-putting as in above, it feels dismissive and so casual, when you say 'the Algerian Revolution or however it is known'.

Many many brave people suffered and died at the hands of the French. They deserve more than a throwaway casual comment. I guess you did not intend to come across like that, but as a writer, perhaps it would be good to check how you are coming across?

I think you mentioned you are on the autistic spectrum, if so, it behoves you to take more care.

Writing is more formal and as there is no space for nuance, we need to be more careful how we come across. The whole point of my article is that the pampered queen does not deserve all this attention; but rather the peoples exploited, who rose to resist, whether as leaders or as a body of people...

Just refer to it as 'the Algerian revolution. If you think that's not clear enough, add some detail and dates perhaps?

The other thing is , I spent a lot of time on this article - we write to receive perspective, clarification, and yes, a degree of appreciation too.

Personally I am not looking for agreement but intelligent dialogue that respects teh effort I put in to my articles.

Why is it you have not bothered to leave any claps, while the guy with 3 followers is showing his disapproval by leaving one clap?

Just asking.
