Goodness, I don't feel any rage towards you... Yes, I was certainly disappointed that the poem I asked you to comment merely on the Arabic translation. You read it as not promoting 'unity' and went on a bit of a rant... And here as a tiny aspect of this article, I merely wanted to address that point of view which I have also heard from Whyte liberals when they want to focus on racism, and 'castigate' me for bringing up the levels of violence against women here in the UK's South Asian communities - they make the same sort of argument that this is being 'divisive'.

I don't think my analysis is about 'cursing' either.

I don't know why you think I am singling you out Noora... I merely wanted to respond to the several lengthy comments you left, in a thoughtful, contextualised way, but then found they had all disappeared, along with your profile, which I found quite alarming.

Did you block me simply because you didn't like the poem? That is quite bizarre! We should be able to have differences in approach and analysis, without having a meltdown.

Sending you strength and good wishes. I'd ahve thought by now, given I've only ever strongly appreciated and applauded your analysis, style of writing etc, a difference in views would not really matter. Yet you went off the rails over a poem - that was also not about you!
