Are you aware that a reader can leave up to 50 claps to express their appreciation to the author? On Medium, those who leave one clap are doing so as a sort of insult !

I usually block such people but I am assuming you don't know this. Claps are a kind of currency and I generally make a point of leaveing over 40 for most articles. It affects the distribution of the article you see.
