… supremacy do exist today, white supremacy today is not the major thing hurting minority Americans. It is the white supremacy of decades past that we have not dealt with, hence the use of the phrase “the history of white supremacy” by many advocates and not “the current phenomenon of white supremacy,” that is harming them. Nothing happens in a vacuum, and racism today is usually the result of racism that happened in the past.
But for those of us harmed, why would it matter? It's a moot point . The quesiton is what are you doing now, about the acts of violence and systemci harms, being perpetrated now agaist racalised people?
