With your Hail Marys
Or your wailing at the Wall
Nor the motions in your five times of prayer
Especially not, my sisters and brothers
Your month of daytime fasting
And your night-time feasting
Are you accepted as a Believer
No, it’s your acts of Mercy and of Justice
The humility with which you say
Not my will, but that of the Mother Divine
May She,
Through my face, hands and voice,
Shine.
