Introduction

I was really touched and uplifted by someone who read an article I wrote recently about Aaron Bushnell, the remarkable young whyte, American man who gave the ultimate, unforgettable sacrifice to register his protest about the actions of his government and the military, funding the genocidal actions of the Israeli entity.

The reader responded by giving a donation via Kofi and we exchanged messages that are shared below.

I decided our dialogue is important as it shows how people of conscience in the USA, are affected by the manipulations and gaslighting and confusion that is deliberately generated so the profit-seeking war-mongers can carry on with their monstrous business. I also want to appreciate the sincerity, authenticity and rare humility of Ms Real Reader who I’ll also refer to as Ms R.R.

To me, Ms R. R reminds us — especially people in the Global South, that people of conscience all over the Western settler colonial states are bewildered by the ever-widening gap between the rhetoric of respect for human rights by their leaders,media etc etc and the constant invasions and wars which the West has been engaged in, every…
