As someone who used to be totally open and transparent, though, I would add, it is wise to have a degree of caution as these days there are so many predatory types of manipulative people around, ... eg the males who listen carefully to a woman's like/dislikes/value structure and then put up a false persona, mirroring her, but it's all a manipulation in order to create a closeness and trust.
