Also, may I add that I very frequently, on reading an article with typos/lack of clarity in a paragraph, in your publication and others, take the time to send a private message to the writer, and point out the issue, providing a suggested correction for them.
So let me reiterate that I do need some level of acknowledgement and interaction from the editor, more than I need an odd typo correcting. You had several pro 4th July articles published and I was interested to see your view - not your agreement, may I add - but you didn't bother at all.
So annoying . Look, I'm not expecting an essay back - but a sentence or two as a response - would that kill you? There are plenty of publications where the editors show some level of courtesy that a response expresses.
