But may I suggest,, rather than 'waiting for asylum' you need to make plans and make applications. I doubt that a government is going to come looking for someone who says they need political asylum! You are luckier that most of the asylum seekers I have known from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya etc etc, you know, all the nations bombed to smithereens by the noble CIA and American military. Many don't have family members left, never mind someone with resources to send them money.
