A very painful truth it's taken me some forty years to realise, that many of my closest friends whom I loved, trusted and respected as feminists/socialists/educationalists wanting to work for a better more equitable world, in fact, acted in sabotaging ways when they saw I just might be on the cusp of achieving more than them.
