A recent example I'd like to share is how my White neighbour, here in the U.K, who is a counsellor, gave my telephone number without my knowledge or permission to her daughter's South Asian heritage teenage friend, who was having some conflict with her parents.

I texted this Whtie neighbour back, saying I was surprised she'd not asked me first and that I really was under pressure from five other directions and could not take this on. Her reply was to say, 'I'm sorry if you think I did something wrong". Her punishment is to withddraw and give me the silent treatment. However I'm glad to be released from listening to her problems ! Silver lining in every cloud...
