If I may add, in terms of noun or verb regarding the action of others who fail to take responsibility for the loss/suffering in their own lives and they seek to cast blame and shame, yes, these are actions,constituting scapegoating. But I personally don't want to turn this poor behaviour into an identity construct for myself. It's uncomfortable to read the term 'community of scapegoats' for the same reason.
