I am the child

That asked questions

Deemed too wild,

No whys and how's

Were allowed.

Over years and years

I tried, I tried.

Truth and tradition

In my parents’ home

Swam separate

Like oil and water.

Years passed and

Still I’m the scapegoat

Sent out into the desert.
