Sadly, you are right about that... I see the West as an entity that over the past 500 years, has rewarded greed and psychopathic behaviour through creating an entire system of societal/economic and legal structures such that anyone who seeks to be fair and compassionate in their dealings with others, is defined as a loser who deserves to be taken advantage of. Other societies had their class of greedy, power-seeking exploiters, but their moral compass did not collapse such that viciousness is redefined as say, efficiency and then, is seen as acceptable and even appluaded by the majority.
It takes a huge amount of courage and intelligence to acknowledge /recognise the possibility that there can be realities and truths beyond one's own personal experiences.Afterrepreated betrayals it's natural to stay alone and focus on healing and recovery... but long term self-isolation as you say, is not healthy. We just have to develop a degree of discernment that rejects the vampires in human form, before we engage with them to the point of getting hurt. That truly takes a skill I am currently learning to develop!
Hi, I just got to ask you, with respect, how can you possibly 'be fond of American culture,' as you mention above your subscribe button, ' and yet ... you are launching a publication that is inviting critiques of capitalism?
'Developed'? Barbarically exploitative more like.
